Knowing how to apply the Twitter network marketing formula is going to determine your success within Twitter.  The twitter formula is quite easy, but most, not only don’t know how to use it, but also don’t know what it is.  Essentially, this marketing formula encompasses a number of things.

As a new twitter user, the first thing you should do is to setup your profile.  This is so that those individuals visiting your page see that you are active within the community and are far more likely to follow you.

One of the biggest mistakes that new twitter network marketers make is in immediately adding contacts to their following list, without having issued out tweets, updated their profile or uploaded a photo of themselves.

This makes sense if you already have an online presence and are simply incorporating your current contacts from your address book or mailing list, but if you are currently working to establish your brand or grow your business, it is critical that you develop your twitter presence first, and then add or invite new followers.

This begins with your profile page, the entry point that every potential follower visits prior to adding you as a contact.

You need to make sure that you complete your profile and that you provide useful information about yourself so that people can either identify you or know what you are offering, involved in, or are interested in.

There are a few different fields relating to your profile that should never be left out, including your full name and your website URL.

Since your user name becomes part of your twitter profile’s URL, you should also make sure that you use a user name that is relevant to your market, niche or represents your business.

You can choose to use your name, if it is available for registration, your website URL, business name or simply keywords representing the market you are involved in.  Personally, I recommend that you use your full name as your twitter username.  This is so that your profile URL is structured like this:

http://twitter.com/Jane-Doe or http://twitter.com/JaneDoe

One thing that many people don’t know is that keywords featured within your actual twitter profile URL tie directly in with twitters built in search utility, meaning that whenever someone searches for information using specific keywords, twitter searches through profiles and usernames to pull relevant search results.

This means that you should always include your primary keyword within your profile fields, including your bio area, so that you are far more likely to be included in search results each time someone enters a relevant keyword associated with your market.

It’s important to determine what brand you are creating within the twitter network.  If you run multiple websites or businesses, use different names (pen names) for business names, you will need to consider the best approach to take.

Do you want to create a single twitter account that serves as an all-in-one contact center for  your different markets, or is it better to create multiple twitter accounts, each one focusing on your different businesses and markets?

Even with twitter’s simplistic structure, and the vast amount of tools that are available to help automate your activity and in building a following, you will still need to spend time actively participating within the twitter network community.  This is only if you want to further your business and maximize your exposure.

This can be exceptionally difficult to do if you are running and managing multiple twitter accounts, so take that into consideration when you are developing your twitter account and choosing your main focus.

I recommend that you separate your tweets and activity for each of your main markets does help keep things organized and on track.  This means to run each of your twitter accounts independently from each other.

By doing this, it will allow you to send out multiple tweets (messages) for each of your markets, rather than confusing potential buyers by using one account that randomly broadcasts messages covering multiple niches.

Twitter has no problem with people opening multiple accounts, however, you must actively use these accounts in order to keep them.

If you allow an account to become inactive for a period of time, twitter reserves the right to terminate the account and open up the possibility of someone else registering that user name.  Thus, if you do not intend on creating multiple twitter accounts, make sure that you log in regularly to keep them active.

From within your twitter account, you will be able to add in a short bio.  This field is exceptionally important!  Once again, with twitter’s search function, it pulls information from the users’ bios to match them up with keywords entered into the search engine.

This means that you should include keywords that are relevant to your niche market, so that you are able to maximize exposure by being included in search results whenever another twitter user enters in those keywords.

Your bio shouldn’t showcase just keywords.  You also want to ensure that you provide a bit of information about yourself, so that people who aren’t familiar with you can get to know who you are, and consider following you.

Your bio field, just like any twitter broadcast you send out, is limited to only 140 characters, so you’ll need to take some time to determine the best terms to describe yourself and your business.

Separate keywords with commas so that each keyword is individually placed.

When you are satisfied with your account, it’s time to write your first tweet.  This can make people a little anxious, especially since once you post a tweet, everyone who visits your profile or chooses to follow you will be able to see it.

With twitter marketing, if you ever want to delete a message that you previously sent out, all you have to do is click on the tweet, look for the trash can icon and click it, to delete your message from the time line.

There is also the option to mark specific tweets as favorites, which will make it easy for you to locate the tweet later on, once you have multiple messages in the time line.

When it comes to writing tweets, don’t spend a lot of time worrying whether it’s creative enough, witty enough, or interesting enough.

Once you have become an active member of the twitter community, you’ll find it easier to think of entertaining and useful tweets, and will also be able to respond to ongoing discussions from those you follow and who follow you.

For now, post whatever is on your mind.  Working on a website? Post about it.  Perhaps you’ve found an interesting website or news story, post about it.

The idea is to simply post enough so that you become comfortable with the twitter system, and more importunately, so that your profile pages shows activity before you start inviting people to follow you.

Once you’ve posted your first tweet, it’s time to start following people on twitter, so that you can build up your twitter presence, and encourage people to follow you in return.

Don’t just sign up and blast out ads every few minutes expecting to achieve anything but annoying those on your list.

Take the time to talk to people individually by directing messages to specific people, post useful information or links to free products and resources that people in your various niche markets would appreciate.

Just like anything else, you need to develop a reputation on Twitter as being someone who is interested in helping others, while developing your own Twitter presence.

A great thing about Twitter network marketing is the ability to quickly locate other people who are involved in your target twitter market, or industry.

For example, if you are looking to find people to interview who may be experienced in specific things, you can find many people who are involved in nearly every topic and subject online.

It’s like a rolodex of the entire online business industry, and as Twitter continues to grow, more and more people are jumping on board, so expect to see Twitter evolve and change to improve their system and add more interactive, productive features that will make it easier to use and to reach out to others.

Conclusion:

Shaklee Corporation does seem to be a network marketing company that offers its members a variety of advantages; such as, great products, tools and training, and support.

I will add that marketing the company and the products upfront is not the most effective way of marketing.  Many distributors; especially inexperienced ones, will encounter a lot of rejection this way.  The best approach to marketing a business, either online or offline, is to market yourself.  Think of your business as “YOU Inc”.  This approach puts the people you talk to at ease and thus they are more willing to talk to you.  Having a reputation as someone who is all about selling and recruiting will have people running away from you.  Using the “YOU Inc.” approach will allow people to get to know you and eventually establish trust in you.  This will eventually lead them to possibly buying your products, and even joining your business.

This same approach should be used using other vehicles of marketing like FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  Let people get to know you.  By knowing you, they will discover what business you are involved in and about your products.  This is also a way in which you can start branding YOU and not the company.  By doing this, it positions you as a leader, someone with authority who has a solution to problems in health, weight management, and more.

One of the key factors to positioning yourself as a leader is to first increase your value by learning skills in marketing and in business.  Then let others know, in particular, other network marketers, that you have this knowledge and you are willing to share and help them with your business.  All of this information I am sharing with you pertains to “Attraction Marketing”.  This is type of marketing is a marketing methodology that can be applied online and offline and could potentially increase your bottom line much more quickly end effortlessly.  But, first you have to learn how to use “Attraction Marketing” in order to get any results.

Determining which model will work best for you simply only be done through testing.  While many boast a conversion and attribute it to the shortness of their introduction (many will be one short paragraph), otherwise will boast a high conversation rate because they use lengthy, thorough, and compelling copy.

If there is anything you absolutely must take away from this introduction to lead capture pages, it is that you cannot create a capture page or squeeze page that isn’t focused.

An eBook is short for Electronic Book, it’s created on a computer and sold digitally to customers. You’re reading one right now!

It does not pass through editors and publishers who all take a portion of the profits from the author. If you can write and are an expert on something, you can write an eBook and sell it online.  An Ebook has distinct advantages over a regular book in that you can place hyperlinks into an eBook that will direct customers to websites where you may be selling products relating to that particular eBook. In this way you make money once on your eBook sale and then again when your customers pay you a visit on your website.

You can place Affiliate Links in your book.  An Affiliate link is where your customer clicks and is taken to a place like Amazon or another website selling products.  When they purchase products from these links, you the author, are given a portion of the sale.

If you enjoy writing, you may wish to try your hand at writing a blog.  The subject can be anything of interest to you, and you can place ads targeted to your audience on your blog.  When items are bought by your readers through those links, you make money. Ka-ching!

Write articles about pygmy goats and submit them to an article directory like Article Dashboard, or an Ezine.  Within your article on Pygmy Goat Nutrition, you can insert hyperlinks to your webpage where you sell All Natural Pygmy Goat Food.  People come to the article directory searching for pieces to place on their websites.  Someone chooses your article and it’s spread to all the visitors to that particular website. People begin to visit your website and start buying the things you have to sell.  They sign up for your free Pygmy Goat Newsletter, and join your Pygmy Goat Lovers Membership group, at a price of course.  You are making money various ways and it all started because you love pygmy goats and you wrote an article about it.

Your marketing goes on and on as long as your article is available on the directory.

Internet Marketing

There are numerous ways to make money through Internet Marketing.  What you’re going to need is a product to sell, whether it be a physical product or a digital product of information.

Let’s say you create garden gnomes, in all shapes and colors.  Some are happy some are sad and a few are just plain creepy looking. Now you want to make money off your gnomes.  You will need to market them.

You’ll need a website, a sales page, pictures of your gnome inventory and your prices.  Setting up a domain, an account with paypal and then advertising your wares in various places is all well and good, but what if no one comes to visit your site?  You have no traffic.  You need traffic.

Market yourself.  Put your name out there as THE person to see for garden gnomes. Put in keywords, the words that search engines look for people are searching for things online, all through your website.  Visit other sites that are garden gnome related.  Trade links with them, foster a relationship in gnome forums and brand your name. Make sure that when you post, your signature has a link to your website in it. Advertise through Google or other web pages.  Bring in the customers.

Ebay

Yes Virginia, there is a special place called eBay, where all the used clothing, the Barry Manilow cd’s people got tired of, recycled wedding gowns, eBooks on how to get gum out of your hair and all the odd toys from the island of misfit toys come to be sold at auction to the highest bidder~~and people are making a killing there.

If you have something you would like to sell, something you don’t need any longer, you can put it up for sale on Ebay.  Set up a free account, browse the categories’ they offer to get an idea of what’s for sale and then either buy something or put something up for sale yourself. For a small fee, you can add pictures to your listing and create your own sales page to bring in customers.  If you have a large inventory of things, like…oh, say garden gnomes with pygmy goat companions, you can have an online eBay store to sell your stock of the little critters.

You can customize your auctions for three days or an entire week, depending upon how much exposure you want and how fast you’d like it to go. Set a reserve price for your product, so that someone can simply pay that price, end the auction and go home with your product.  Ebay is an excellent way to make money online.

Using Craigslist?

Once upon a time a young man living in the San Francisco area had a computer. His name was Craig Newmark and he started posting things about cool things going on around town.  Its popularity grew in leaps and bounds, so Craig had to get a Listserver majordomo, which required a name.  He wanted to call his list ‘sf-events’ but was persuaded to call it Craigslist, since that is essentially what it was at the time.

Later, people started adding other things to the list, like apartments for rent and garage sale items. Craigslist is in every state and in most countries and it’s become a great way to sell things and services to people.
